    Maternity bra's

Im just wondering if now is the right time to get a maternity bra. Actually it is because my normal ones are getting small, but will I need to keep buying them throughout? Obviously my brain is not working because I cant' remember my last pregnancy!!
I just HATE the whole bra finding process and wondered if anyone has any good bra's/places to go/ways to make it a good experience etc!!! My normal bra varies between a 12c-14d depending on brand. Probably on average a 14C.
    Thanks xoxo

    bras

It's hell looking for bras. I was a 12D and then crept to a 14 DD at 8 weeks! Wore sports bras until around 16 weeks when they got too small. Noticed I needed maternity bras and size 14E to boot! they just get bigger! Here's hoping they stay where they are until milk comes in! I;m 24 weeks now.

    Hey webmeg!

They say around 4-5 months is perfect for fitting.

Me, I went in at 8wks as my bras were all waaaay too small and very painful. I went to Myer and they were great.

I just got some last week at 17wks as I couldn't handle it anymore. I went to bras and things and thankfully got a really nice girl to help me. She told me to go up a back and cup size to allow for more growth (God I hope not too much more!!) so hopefully they last a while.

I got mine early in the 2nd tri. I didn't have to get any later on even when my milk came in.

I can highly recommend Hestia Maternity Sports Star ones. They are available at Big W for around $20. They are super stretchy and super comfy. Some Big W's have them in the Mat Bra area others have them in the Sports Bra area.

I'd definitely recommend getting professionally fitted too. Go to a major department store, like Myer or DJs rather than a shop like Bras N' Things as they tend to be better. Once you have the correct size, you can then go to other stores where you might find bras a bit cheaper.

I got mine really early because my ( . ) ( . ) were getting too sore to sleep without a bra on. I got the triumph maternity ones from kmart usually retail for $20 each but wait til the sales for a better deal. I love them as they are so comfy and have a bit of lace around the bottom for decoration. I agree with getting professionally fitted but unless you have some special reason that you need a certain bra for then don't waste your money on top dollar bras when kmart and big w will do the same job for a fraction of the price.

Kate - I'm a huge fan of the triumph crop from kmart too! I have them in like every colour!

I recommend that you get something comfy for now, then sometime after 28wks go and get fitted for the bras you'll need after bubs
