Question Cervix length checked...what does it mean????

Hi guys, I posted a while ago asking about the average cervix length. They told me today at my scan that it is approx 4cm for normal.

Well............today mine measured at 2.3cm and 1.6cm. I dont know why there was any difference, one of the measurements I had to push the babies down onto my cervix.

So what I am asking is this..........I know that it is showing a reduced cervix, I was just wondering whether I should be worried about going into early labour or not?

I am definantly concerned as I am aware that I can go early with twins, the worry for me is how long will I get out of this pregnancy?

    Many Thanks

Maybe you could just ring your ob, or even your gp & ask if you trust them to be straight.
Alan might even pop in to answer for you. He should know.

Thanks Skye, I rang my OB's office this morning and they will get back to me by 11am. So I should know what's going on by lunch time.

ETA:They just rang and said that everything was fine with the scan results, so I guess I have nothing to worry about.
