Mine has been very active for the last few weeks, but the last few days she hasnt moved much at all, a few little kicks at night, but Ive noticed the movements are not as strong as they used to be.
I have a doppler at home so I have checked her heart and it is still beating away nicely. Im just a bit worried about the lack of movements. Is she running out of room, or should I be worried?
If you've noticed an obvious decline in momvement then I think it can't hurt just to get the hossy to check. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about and they will be able to put your mind at ease.
She did alot of movement last night and was moving at 4am when I went to the toilet, but now she is very quiet again. I think Ill monitor it and call my ob if she doesnt move much today.
Skye, i'm sure all is fine.... she is running out of room in there as she is growing bigger and bigger..... if unsure, check with the hossy for reassurance.
some days i feel our baby kicking heaps and other days is pretty quiet
hi, when i was preg wit ds months ago, i used to stress over lack of fetal movement go to hossy and get checked ect...
she'd be running out of room for sure & also they nurse/doc used to say any movement is good movement as long as there is NO movement & if u have the dopler at home an kno the heart is still beating i wouldnt stress over it too much
My bub moved like crazy until just this week. So I spent this week constantly worried. I'd have a cold drink and lie on the couch with my hand on my tummy until I felt a tiny movement and feel reassured that baby was still there. Now baby's moving quite a bit again like it found some room to spread out or something.
I think as long as baby moves at all then it's ok.
Its extremely common to feel a decrease in movement after 28wks as this is when they start to put on more weight (fat) and run out of room, Charli moved constantly and they were very hard kicks and movements, now she still moves alot but its alot softer. Don't stress.
Skyeblue-Gosh these little babies are worrisome arent they? Sounds like it is fairly normal as bubs is getting bigger and is now probably having a sleep and awake cycle. That's great that you have the doppler to check the heartbeat, but I would definantly still give the hospital a call and see what they say. It's always reassuring to get monitored.
I hope your little girl starts moving a lot more soon. Take care
We are all such worry worts - me included! You get so used to the amount of movement your bub does so that when there is a sudden change you stress!!! I had this a few weeks back - bubs hardly moved for about 3 days and I was in Greece so there isn't much I could do about it... anyway he started again - back to his usual form!
I have also read that when they run out of space they can't kick as much...
You should trust your instinct though and if after a while you are still stressed get it checked out.
I like taegan and kuraiza's comments that any movement should be ok...she is doing lots of smaller movements now, not many big kicks. So now even when I feel little movements I feel reassured that she is ok.
Has anyone done a kick chart? I dont think I could be bothered, unless the movements really decrease.
yay for feeling her kick! My little one went quiet for a while as well but now she is kicking up a storm again. I found drink a cold drink (coke!) seemed to help lol
It is so worrying isn't it - and they don't stop us worrying once they are here!
I had my appointment yesterday and I don't know if it is because I am late in pregnancy but they said any change in movement that is significant then I should call them to be sure. So if I know bub kicks lots after icecream (heehee) and doesn't or kicks but not as strongly as usual then that is reason to call. It wouldn't hurt to call them and let them know - you may find once you explain it all that they are happy with it and you can carry on until your next appointment! Good luck!
