I was so in love with my strider until I used it. After getting the thing out of the box, I noticed that both the seat and the frame were extrememly bent out of shape and that one of the smaller wheels didn't even touch the ground.
Took it back and got a new one, now this blasted thing has an even worse problem, the wheels are completely stuffed. When you push it even on the flatest surface it's like it has a buckled wheel and Arab's head shakes around so friggin much.
Now I contacted Britax and they expect me to take it to a dealer that is an hour away and leave my pram with them. Stuff that, I am so bloody mad.
Anyone else have prob's with theirs????
Oh no, theres nothing worse than finding probs with your pram, it takes so long to choose & its a real pain when you end up not happy with it!
I hope the problems solved soon hun

Oh that is really frustrating my sympathies to you...
When a bit on my pram broke (not the same brand as your pram, it's a cheap Valco thing), I emailed the company about it. They told me to take it back to the shop where I bought it (Babies Galore) and they'll deal with the repair issues from there. So I did that and the shop offered me a courtesy pram. It wasn't anything super-doper but it sure was better than not having a pram at all. My pram got sent from Sydney to Melbourne, fixed and sent back all within a week. All within warranty.
Can you ask them about a courtesy pram while the issues with you pram are being sorted out? Good luck...
We've had no problems with our Strider 4 at all Nicambhar.
Hope something gets sorted out for you soon. Could you email them again and tell them how unhappy you are with their customer service and see if they will sort something out with freight for you instead of having to travel?
hi - sorry to interrupt the post. but re: the strider 4, for those that have it, do you really need to get the extra bassinet for a newborn or does the normal stoller seat lie back flat?? and up until what age/weight can you use to bassinet till? still trying to decide what stroller to get... is it worth getting the bassinet?
I got my first pram from Target & when I had problems I took it back & they gave me a loan pram. I actually liked it better coz it had a reversable handle, but I think you'r probably better off going back to the shop.
They might exchange for a whole different pram for you if you want.
Oooh yep, nothing worse (when it comes to baby equipment) than when something goes wrong with your pram!!! I nearly had a heart attack when my teen DD broke my first Emmalunga (all ended well in that insurance paid for a new one! ) While I was waiting for my new Emma I had to contend wit a crappy Steelcraft though... it was just awful. So all my sympathy darl .... i hope it's sorted soon!!!
When I bought my pram.. Diff one the wheels had issues.. I just took it back to the baby store.. they replaced the wheels and when it still had issues they sent the wheels back to the dealer. They offered me a loaner pram but I didn't need it at the time..
So I would contact the baby store or just turn up and show them the problem an see if they can fix the issue in store
damn, you lucky things that get offered a loan pram. Best I can get from Britax atm is "a new wheel". Would make sense to send me two new one's me thinks.
I was at a store yesterday looking at the strider dlx and a customer came in complaining about the front wheel on a strider pram and the Britax rep just happened to be there...he took the front wheels off the pram in the shop and fitted them for the customer on the spot. The customer was really happy. If you have to drive so far to take it back maybe see if you can be there when the rep is visiting? Good luck.
good thinking Ellie. Britax have a new wheel in the post for me, if I get no joy out of this I will do just that.
Now I gawk at every strider I see checking for wobbly wheels and I'd say most of them are wobbly. Would feel like a bit of an idiot asking if they are happy with it or not
Hey Nic have you thought of putting in a complaint and just getting a refund to buy a different pram, tell them you are not happy with the pram and the service they are offering you! I would be so annoyed!
Danielle - I am turing into a bit of a pram addict now. Someone I know has 4 different prams and I though she was a lunatic, but I am turning into that same lunatic. I have asked DF if I could get another pram to keep in the car as I use the strider for walking ( so it disguises the wobbly wheel ). I need a shopping pram
DANNII - If the new wheel doesn't cut it, I will definately be asking for a refund and put it towards another I have my eye on. A salesperson at a different baby store told me on the qt the other day that if I make enough noise I will get a refund because there are many more people pi$$ed with the pram.
