    In need of Urgent Advice

    Good afternoon Ladies

Last night and majority of today I have had a lot of pain in my tummy, at first I thought it was BH, but it is continuous.

I have spent most of this afternoon lying down on my side hoping this pain will go away but as yet it hasnt.

My tummy feels a bit harder than it did the other day, so I am really not sure what is going on.

    I am currently 15 + 4 with Twins.

I dont know whether to take myself off to hospital or call the Maternity ward at the hospital for some advice

If it's a lot of pain like you say and not going away then I would go to the hospital or at least ring and ask what to do. Better to be safe, hopefully it's all ok just them making some more room in there

Don't be afraid to call, if you are worried, I would make the call. It can't hurt to call!

Best of luck, I hope it is just your uterus expanding or harmless BH.

I'd call at least and see what they say. They really don't mind answering questions from concerned mums. Better to be safe...
I hope its just normal belly expanding or the bubs getting their groove on.

As the others have mentioned, give the hospital a call it really is better to be safe than sorry. All the best.

Being a third pregnancy its most likely BH. You get them sooner and can feel them stronger, esp with two!!!

BUT I would make the call to your Ob or hospital, it NEVER hurts to be sure hon....

Call them or go. Either one. If you call first though, then they can know to expect you. All the best.

    Sam,
did you call the Dr? Are you still suffering now? I had a bad 24 hour tummy bug early on that made me feel like something was wrong. It was horrible. Then it seemed to pass and I put it down to that. I hope that is all it is.
    Please keep us posted.

Sorry for the delay in posting but I have had a rough day and night

I ended up calling the Angliss hospital and spoke with one of the midwives up in the delivery ward. They seemed to think it was just early BH and to continue resting and taking it easy. As I am only 15 weeks, they personally could not do anything to help me unIess I started to have some bleeding. My OBS called me an hour later as he was at the hospital at the time and one of the nurses had mentioned that I had called. He suggested taking a low dosage sleeping tablet, which at least helped me sleep last night.

I have had a long day today with attending a large funeral, so I am pretty tired tonite and the pains are still there, but dont seem to be quite as bad tonite.

Thanks for all your advice ladies it was very re-assuring to know that I was on the right track with wanting to call the hospital
