    Dizziness Question...

    Hiya!

So last Tuesday I was woken from sleeping at 4.45am because the room was spinning, I was soooooo dizzy and it freaked me out cos it didn't stop. I stayed in bed sitting up and called the bidwife at about 7 and she didn't think it was my bp cos it didn't seem to happen in the usual way when I either stood of or sat down. We deduced that I had dehydrated myself over the weekend, it was really really hot and i hadn't been drinking anywhere near 2ltrs water.

I do have a low bp compared to most but normal for me I guess, but it was 80/45 on my last visit. So I've been good and upped water intake, made sure I'm eating lots as well as I think I wasn' eating enough, and this started a week ago and the diziness is still lingering - again, not when I stand up or sit down but just randomly all of a sudden. I did my preg yoga class last night with no prob and no dizziness at all, felt great!

So my question is, any ideas what this is? Is it just general pregnancy quirk? (I have gotten big this week, feel really stretched and am sure bubs is having a growth spurt or something!) Could it be my ears/balance? If its still here on Monday I'll book a docs appointment but was keen to hear your thoughts!

    Thanks!

I had this as well, I'd just randomly get dizzy. Never did find out why though... just wanted to say I had that too. The randomness went away by about 26 weeks, and I only got dizzy when standing, and when I hadnt eaten enough.

It sounds like it could possibly be vertigo. Something I unfortunately know way too much about. I've had it for about 7/8 years now. In fact the past couple of weeks I've been having issues with it. I find that if it starts up try to open your eyes and focus on something, that can help to stop it. I would take a trip to the doc even though there's actually nothing they can do about it for you (there is some medication but you can't have it when pg or BF), but at least you will know if it is that. Some people are lucky enough to only have one episode (this can last a few weeks on and off though) and then NEVER again. You may be one of those It can happen apparently if you've had an ear infection - you may not even know it. I hope that it's something which goes away for you really soon cos I know completely how sucky it is. to you.
