    Aaaargh! Ruptured oesophagus from vomiting...

DW has topped herself this time. She has now been vomiting so violently that she has ruptured her oesophagus.

She's on a soft / fluid diet and ondansetron to try and control her vomiting, although as this has not worked for us in the past, I suspect it will not be effective this time either. She is supposed to try not to vomit for the next two days and then go back to our ED to see if the tear has closed.

    Your poor DW!
I was given Maxalon for my m/s.
I had Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Severe m/s.
I hope it helps her. Did nothing for me, just gave me anxiety attacks. (We tried it 3 times!)

Oh no The poor thing. I really hope she manages to stop vomitting long enough for it to heal (and even longer!). It must be really hard for you too right now, working and taking care of everybody. I hope it gets easier for you all soon.

She's not having a good run lately is she? Poor love, I hope this treatment works and gives her a chance to heal.

    Oh no!!

I hope it heals quickly for her.

I had this happen to me when i was 29 wks but mine was from severe reflux. I hadnt vomitted the entire pregnancy, got up one morning, vomitted and caused bleeding. I ended up needing a blood transfusion. I hope it doesnt get to that for your wife and that she gets better soon
