We are looking into trying to TT DS. He will be 3 in Jan, and starting kinder, so we need to start the ball rolling. I think he is ready, sometimes he comes home from creche saying he wants to go on the toilet (he even once told me he needed to do a poo - and he was right, he did it on the toilet!)... Anuyway, i've just bought a high step stool and a seat insert (i can tell he won't use a potty, he is one of those kids who always wants the real deal!), and i figured i better get prepared with pant also. He also keeps asking to wear "und-i-pants" (so cute!)
But i think with disposables he doesn't really feel if he is wet or not, so i wanted to know if you can get some cloth training pants. Something he feels wet in, and easy to pull up and down, but something that won't leak all over his clothes and the floor if he was an accident?
Any other tips? This is my first time trying to do this!
I bought some when they were on special at Big W (about $5 pair?) when Charlie was indicating wanting to TT.
They WERE effective, but the problem we had was that Charlie saw them as "nappies" and he wanted, most definitely and defiantly, that he wanted "jocks".
So whilst they were good, I only managed to use them for a week before we moved to jocks. The sensation of wet yukky leaking jocks and puddles (as cruel as it sounds!) sped the whole TT bizzo up if I am honest.......he was done after less than a week at home.
(Lexie wouldn't have a bar of them........she went straight to knickers.)
