Thanks everyone for all your ideas. I did steal one - I didn't have a card so I wrote a note using "pretend" kids handwriting.

She handed him the letter and when he read it he had a huge smile and his eyes welled up.

Oh, so reminds me on how i told DP i was pregnant with our one & only child

I handed him a Little Golden Book of THE THREE BEARS story with a note inside as if it were from the unborn baby saying that they can't wait for their Daddy to read them this book when they are born

That book is so precious now to that very baby ... our now beautiful nearly 2.5year old daughter
