    MaybeBaby Viewer

    Hi Everyone

I'm new to this forum and to TTC. My DD is now 5 years old and due to the disasterous pregnancy, birth and first few years of her life we have put off trying for the next one.

I'm now at 7DPO (i think) as I was using the MaybeBaby viewer thing. I haven't done the CM or temp and was wondering if anyone else has had any luck using the MaybeBaby to predict ovulation.

Also it is too early to be experiencing any symptoms?????

    Thanks everyone!

Hi Ryatha, I used the maybe baby viewer and I was nevert able to get full ferns, I would just get random partial ferns all the time. I do have PCOS so this is why it may not have worked sao well for me. Try temping this worked for me and is the best way to get to know your body and pinpoint ovulation. I would recommend using fertility friend. You can sign up here for free:

Are you on amy meds or TTC naturally?

The problem with the MB is that it detects estrogen surges. In some women this can happen throughout their cycle, not just at O time. I used one for years but never managed to get pregnant using it. I think temping works far better.

I had symptoms around a week after I O'd when I conceived Brock. I had a stuffy nose and bleeding gums so suspected I was pregnant again (I'd had this in the previous pregnancy early on).

    Hi

I used MB and found that it helped me. It took a few goes to know what my full ferns looked like, but I found it worked. I charted this in conjunction with my cycle to pin point O, so together I had a good idea of when I was actually Ovulating. I also found that you had to get the amount of saliva on the slide right otherwise you wouldn't get a good read. This happened to me for a few days before I realised.

    Good luck!

I found it rreally useful but I think it works better if you put the glass part directly on your tongue!!

I have been using this for 4 weeks! Every morning I get pebbles - by chance I used it when i got home last night and got full ferns! I was very surprised & excited so me and the hubby 'did the deed' so this morning I expected to see ferns again and got pebbles. Waited another 15mins did it again and got partial ferns - so is it ferns or not? very confused!
What is the right time of day to do this - maybe first thing after you wake up is not the right time?

    Hi

I have also been using the tester for the last 4 weeks and have had pebbles/partial ferns and then a fews hours later full ferning. Not sure. It also told me that I ovulate
on day day 18 which made me think my cyle was longer than i thought, but this morning AF arrived on day 27 and i used the tester and it said i had partial to full ferning, not sure what is going on.

Will still keep tyring to see what happens this cycle.

    Has anybody had this happen???

You need to make sure you haven't eaten or drunk anything other than water for 2 hrs before, otherwise it effects the results, I get ferns, this includes brushing your teeth so first thing in the morning is usually easier.

I also find if I don't put enough saliva on the slide I get pebbles. I track alongside my cycle dates and have a rough idea of when I'm ovulating, so that helps as well.

    Good-luck
