i am trying the bbt for the first time, i am due for my period in 6 days and my bbt is 36.9 is this a good thing? i have been readig if it is at 37 and stays that way it mean im preg but it has stayrd at 36.9!!!!! so confussed lol plz help
Given you are trying to BBT for the first time, it could be that your temps are normally that high post O, or you could be pg. You still have 6 days to go, and it depends on the pattern over that time. If it stays high and you miss AF then you could very well be utd.
Unfortunately with temping you can't predict if you're utd this early, sorry.
Do you use a single or double decimal point therm? Doubles can make a difference in the charting pattern as well.
But good luck, and I hope that you get the outcome you want.
Hi Blayne, don't stress too much about the actual temperature numbers. It's more about the pattern that they make over the course of your cycle. My temperature pre-ovulation is usually around 36.1-36.3 degrees, and post ovulation is around 36.6-36.9 degrees. Even now that I am pregnant I don't think I ever really make it over the 37 degree mark. Each womans body has slightly different "normal" temperatures, so I wouldn't worry about your temperature being lower than 37. They main thing to look out for at this stage in your cycle is a temperature decrease. In cycles where I did not fall pregnant my temperature always started to drop the day before my period was due, and that was usually the first indication to me that I was not pregnant.
I hope that your temp stays the same for you! Good luck!!!
