Perth IVF Clinics / FS's - Any Recommendations

I have been at Concept here in Perth since 2005, done 5 IUI cycles, 3 IVF Cycles, including ET's and 1 FET. Our DD who is now 2 1/2 was conceived when I was 39 on our very 1st IUI cycle, but we have had no luck since then. As I am now approaching 43 I was wondering if any of you out there has any recommendations on any other clinics or any information that you may have heard on successful IVF stories / success rates.

Hi Jodie,
We are with John Love at FSWA, starting our first IVF in Jan 09. I've had one round of OI with them but did not respond so the cycle was cancelled.

So far we are really happy with FSWA - staff are excellent, Dr Love is very to-the-point but he knows his stuff! He is very clear about what our expectations should be. He also seems extremely sure that he can get me pg ha ha.

Anyway while I'm not the success story (yet) that you're after, the service at FSWA is great, so I can recommend them from that aspect.

There's a few different FS's there too - Mike Aitken is also very good (I saw him originally but then he went on leave for a couple of months so I've ended up with John now).

I am also at FSWA, Ive heard (but this could be wrong) that FSWA have the highest success rate in Perth at the moment, they are quite progressive and try different techniques and protocols. It is one of the most expensive clinics though, over $8k upfront cost which is what we are struggling with.

All the FS's are lovely, in particular Mike Aitken and Doreen Yeap. I made sure I read up and brought a lot of knowledge to the table on IVF and treatment, and they were always respectful of my decisions and answered all of my questions.

I was with fertility North in joondalup and cant speak highly enough of them the nursing staff are wonderful. I have had a BFP with IUI but unfortuately it was ectopic, then my first cycle of IVF i got my next BFP and am currently 31 weeks and Margot Norman is my ob, she is also one of the fert specialists and she is lovely and very thourgh. I know theyy have one of the highest IVF success rates in Oz. good luck hoping you get your BFP soon. if i can give you any other info let me know.

Just found this website and saw your thread. i've been going through Hollywood Fert Clinic and have found them to be wonderful. I had Dr Love when I first started there and managed to have my DD on my first attempt. Two FET's later and nothing but am on synarel to start my second fresh cycle.

I think you have to be comfortable wherever you go. Someone I know who also goes through HFC isn't happy there and I know others who go through Concept and Pivet - some who like their clinic and others who don't and have changed. It is all a matter of personal opinion. My GP told me to go to all of them. Have a chat and then decide which one you preferred.
