    Question Feeling Strange...any ideas??

    Morning Everyone,

Since the weekend I have been feeling "strange" - its like I just dont feel myself and oftern I feel like I am in a haze and not quite with it (more than normals!!)
I have been getting some BH off and on - a little bit of pain but not much but I have been getting some stabbing pains in my Ve-Jay that are qite painfull but they dont last long and will then go.
Also when I am sitting I will feel bubs go low and then I feel the pains in my ve-jay and then it feels like I may wet myself - would that be bubs pushing down wards? The preasure was getting to the point last night that I was sure my bladder was going to pop!!

I just feel off and not myself - could this be things starting to get ready? I have 4 weeks till due date - not that im wishing things to hurry Im just curious..

    Any ideas would be wonderful!!

    Have a great day
    Kate

PS - sorry if this doesnt make sense - feeling out of it as I type!!

Oh I'm not sure. Are you taking it easy, or are you still a bit busy?

Sometimes I think the body has ways of slowing us down when it wants us to. Sounds like baby is having a grand old time bouncing on your bladder though!

    Lulu,
I am still working but I have a desk job so pretty cruisy. I feel very out of it today - like im on drugs!!
I am having some muscle pains but I think I was laying the wrong way last night as my hips hurt also.
Ill just keep taking it easy and see what happens.
Bubs is still moving heaps so Im pretty confident that all is ok there..

Oh and I didnt mention that my back is killing me - but maybe form how I slept??
I think I may be reading into it all a bit... getting excited and a bit ahead of myself??
I have a feeling that I am going to go early -maybe just letting that take hold to much?

Take it from someone thats been around here waaaaay to long - everytime someone posts they think they might go early, I look at their ticker and they are at 34 weeks!

S'ok, things are getting ready, but make sure you are sitting at your desk in a good position etc - when will you finish up?

I felt like that last weekend, but then I've been feeling like that for a few weeks on and off.

Might just be your bub descending down. I'd ask your OB or midwife about it though.

Last pregnancy I worked up to 37 weeks at a desk job and I felt really off the last week of work - it's probably that you are just tired and work is taking it's toll. However, having said that DD was born at 37w6d so you could go a bit early.

    Hi there KG:

I too had this when DD was 35 weeks. she had engaged and her head banging against my poor cervix would send my body into raptures of pain and BH. i think it is your body relaxing and getting ready for her. DD was born at 38+2 weeks...
the feeling 'foggy' part i can totally relate to as well. i put it down to the fact that your mind is trying to disengage from everything other than yourself and bubs (again to prepare). i can just say to be careful when driving LOL! i accidently backed into a gum tree at 36 weeks as i was totally vague!!

    good luck!

I walked into the path of 2 different cars crossing the road, the fog was terrible I almost shouldn't have been allowed out by myself...

Yeah, sounds like your bub has moved dooooown You should be very pleased with your body, Kate - sounds like everything is preparing itself marvellously for you!
I totally get the mind-fog. I reckon it's from being excessively tired. I remember those last weeks of pregnancy and how difficult sleep was to come by. Try to rest as much as you can, babe. Your body (and your mind!) will thank you for it.
Look after you! Not long now

    Thanks Snacks!
Its all a bit scarey!! I am SO looking fwd to the brth tho - I cant wait!
Yes sleep is a reall issue at the moment - I am hardly getting any (but getting used to not sleeping - maybe good once bub arrives!!) and when I do I wake up alot and I also my hips and back hurt so I spend most of the night sitting propped up on pillows! I do get some sleep as least I guess!!

I too remember in the last weeks the agony of the hips...feel for you babe!

i went to the OB for my 38 week check and he told me that it is really normal for the hips to pack it in at the end and that no, there wasnt anything that i could do to make it better other than have a baby!! LOL! i found propping pillows up high behind my back so that i could kinda lie with the pressure off my hips helped (ie lying into the pillows at the back...).
