DD1 makes me laugh with some of the words she comes up with and I was wondering what other words children have made up that make perfect sense
Here's her list...
Snapadile - Crocodile
Rainbrella-Umbrella
After morning tea - ok, doesn't make sense, but it sounds cute, lol
Hotown - Hotel, the one we stayed in had everything so it kind of was like a town.
Picshows - pictures/photographs
That's so cute, I'm having trouble thinking of any just now...when my son was learning to tell the time he would say things like 5minutes past half past three for 3:35.
Rainstones (hailstones)
Hot chocolate cold (chocolate milkshake)
orange circle guy (her chewy multivitamin, but is indeed orange and round)
kissy hat (when i kiss her head)
It took me a while to figure it out, but DS1 would call faces "over face" or "under face". Turns out the over face is a sad face (because the mouth is "over") and the under face is a smiling face . Makes sense once you know what he means!
My son's only little (14mths) so not quite talking yet. But if he sees a cat he says "um!" It's his word for cat - coz apparently thats the sound they make!
DD called her blankie a 'shay', a toy tiger 'youngie'
DS1 came out with some classics; truck coke=kirks lemondade, horsie milk=goats milk (obviously a visual learner!)
DD's sleeping bag is referred to as "new one". Well, it was new a year and a half ago!! To be picked up she will say "I want a hurry up". fair enough, wants to be picked up- quickly!! And her latest thing is calling her dad by his first name!! Everything is "Tim this , Tim that"!! Very cute ,and quite logical too, especially as her step sister calls him Tim!! xo
