My darling mother (mothers - gotta love 'em ) kindly pointed out of the weekend that I have a flat spot on my belly.
From the side, profile view, my belly is nice and round from the top to my belly button, then it has a flat patch that is about 5cm wide where the belly button is (and around the belly button), then it is nice and round down to my pubic bone.
My brother in law asked me if it is a steering wheel mark, or a desk mark! Strangely enough it is about where my desk hits my belly!
What is that all about?! Is it my anterior placenta? Is my desk denting my belly?! Now I am paranoid that I look strange.
OP, it could be the way that bubs is positioned. You can get a flat spot there if you bubs is lying posterior as there is nothing there to push that spot out if that makes sense.
Ive got the same flat spot too! Your not alone
I work in a call centre so alot of my time is spent at a desk or behind the wheel of my car driving to and from work..
hmm! that IS interesting!
I'm sure you don't look strange OP!! I think I have a bit of a flat spot over my belly button too. I also have been told I have an anterior placenta. Don't stress mate
Yep I had that with DS, not with DD though so I was wondering why mine was a "strange" shape compared to my first PG.
Good to hear there's more of us out there, now I know its normal!!
Oh, & don't worry about your bump looking "funny", all pregnant bellies are beautiful no matter what size or shape... I promise!
