    shooting pains at 37.5 weeks

    hi ladies
im pregnant with number 2 and getting like shooting pains from my pelvis down my legs especially if im walking and sometimes across lower tummy which I assume is when bub is pushing down on a nerve.. does this sound right or could be getting ready for labour? I don't think I had this with my first son? anyone else experiencing this?

    Hi,
I had those shooting pains down my leg with my last pregnancy. I think your body is just getting prepared for labour. All the best.

I think that can happen when the baby's head drops down a little, and pinches a nerve against your pelvis. I don't think it's anything to worry about, and hopefully your little one is settling into position to head out! All the best!

Have you timed them? Are they coming reguarily or are they just when you walk? Could they be contractions?

they are very random so have not even thought about contractions. I think it feels like its him moving down and pinching a nerve. but it really makes you jump! owch.. yes I know should not even start complaining yet!

Yeh very possible just some nerve pinching.. but do keep an eye on it and if anything changes or worsens give the hospital a call just to see what they say... put your mind at ease too
    Best of luck!
