$1000 per child xmas money...

Ok, Firstly Thank you BG in advance for more then likely being the one to clear this up for me LOL.


Ok, Now that I have 4 kiddies Im a little lost as to what to expect come the 8th of December.
When this all came out I was under the impression that YEAH I will get $1000 for each of the 4 kids I will have by the 8th of the December.
BUT I have had a few people tell me that NO it will only be for the 3 older ones as it only applies to kids you had when the announcement was made (14th oct?)

Is this true? Im not bothered either way, I mean Iain can just miss out on xmas presents this year, not like he will notice LOL just kidding.

But so I can actually budget xmas etc, what can I expect. 3 k or 4k?

it's only for the kidlets you had on October 14th - so just the older three - they'll have to sacrifice for young Iain and share the dollars around!!

my understanding is that it was for children born up until Midnight that night - but i can't guarantee it as i haven't been to work since this announcement was made

Just wondering - does anyone know whether we should expect to get the bonus $ with our FTB for that fortnight, or is it just random when they pay it? I know that we've been told to expect it between the 8th and the 20th December, and I get paid my FTB payments on the 19th, so even though this bonus is totally independant of FTB, should I expect it to arrive on the 19th? (My hubby's b'day is the 17th, so that's what got me thinking)

It will arrive with your first regular FTB payment after the 8th - mine is on the 9th, so I would get mine then - so no, you probably wouldn't get yours till the 19th.

mrs m - if you read the posts directly above you, it says it comes with your ftb payment that fortnight - so whatever day you'd normally get payment, you'll get that stimulus payment provided you qualified for ftb on october 14th

sorry fo ryet another question - what about those who claim their ftba and b at the end of the year? do we get it at christmas or do we have to wait until end of financial year (*panicing quietly as i bought a dyson at the weekend on the cc - eeeek)

I belive you will get it at the endof the finacial year UNLESS you call up now & change it to fortnightly paymentss & then change it back after you get it. But it may be too late, not sure how long it would take to process the change.
