    Sleeping...

Are there any myths or rules about sleeping on your stomach when pregnant?

I love to sleep tummy side down!
I know that after a while it will get too uncomfortable to do so... Last night I felt abit of a flutter in my stomach and wondered if bubs was giving me a kick to say I was squashing them! haha
I am a larger girl, so have abit of a tum already (not sure if any of that is 'showing', but i doubt it)

Anyway - just a random thought I am throwing out there! hehe

I don't think there's any hard and fast rules Mrs BB. I reckon your body will tell you when it gets too uncomfortable and you'll find other positions for sleeping that you prefer. Just listen to your body. It's the same for lying on your back - that may or may not become uncomfortable for you down the track. Bubs is well protected in there anyway behind the uterus wall (which has nothing to do with how big or small we are).

I agree with Kaz. I think i slept on my belly up until 16wks then it started to feel weird and uncomfortable so I stopped. I am still sleeping on my back but find that I must wake and turn automatically when my body wants me to. Dont worry you wont be squashing baby

Yeah have to agree with the other girls. I love sleeping on my tummy also, but around 16 weeks I started feeling weird about it, something just kicked in and my comfort was not the highest on my priority list it was like I knew it was time to get off the tummy. I started showing by about then too.
Good luck and its a good idea to start getting used to sleeping on your side anyway.
