Hi ladies i am thinking of changing clinics if we use up all our Frozen Embies one left if this one is neg and i was wondering about the Westmead Fertility Centre.
I rang them yesterday and they posted out some info for me but i had one question that i thought someone on here could help me with when you have your epu are there any other out of pocket expenses like the anaesthetic etc?

Mindy,

No additional out of pocket expenses. The price quoted includes everything from meds to epu. All but the $110 for synarel spray is claimable through medicare. For a full ivf cycle, we were out of pocket $255 (because we've met the 80% threshold).

Thanks Kaydee we are on our 3rd round 2 FET and i just know that it hasnt worked again we have one more frosty left and i have been stressing about finding the money for a new stim cycle we have to pay $6210 upfront and we are out of pocket $3223 with our current clinic because its private.

hi mindy ,
well hun i no how hard it is to change clinics so i no what your going through .
we changed from sivf newcastle to westmead for this last cycle we were paying nearly $7000 with sivf and were so shoked when we found out about westmead it was all to good to be true but it wasnt it was all true every thing they said the price was
$1400 or $1700 for icsi ?? and there was no exta cost for any thing at all ,we just made app with dr soo got sent home with the script for the pill then had nurse app got sent home with the syneral and injections,bt forms,u/s forms every thing then when it come to epu we drove down and stayed until transfer
the only extra we have had to pay is $6 buks each time for parking hehe
we live a long way from sydney we are at nambucca heads nsw but even to travel a 13 hr round trip and pay for a motel we still saved about 5 grand(huge amount anyway lol).
we have been nothing but happy with westmead the only thing that did **** me was the call back systom the use i hate that when you call you dont actually talk to anyone just the reception lady then the nurse calls back sometimes HOURS AFTER GGRRRRR
but apart from that very happy and we did get pregnant this time finally but lost it so i believe there doing something rite . there are so many beautiful babys in this thread from westmead so it gives me hope ..

and yes you do stay awake but they sedate you and i always only usally remember NOT MUCH i always laugh cause its the weirdest feeling i cant explain it ---its like im there but im not really like very drunk i suppose lol like real air heady
but its all good hun
