Hi,
We are currently using Motherease fitted nappies and air-flow covers on my DS during the day, and disposables at night. He's a pretty average sized 8 month old, and I've just moved to the last "snap" position on the nappies before there are uncovered studs that could poke him. He's also almost grown out of the "M" sized covers too.
I'm wondering what our next move should be - the motherease nappies and covers have been great because they are long (DS is long in the body and has stumpy legs), and also because the waist and leg of the covers can be snapped separately. I can get bigger covers, but the nappies are allegedly OSFA until 18 months or so, so I can't get bigger nappies.
Does anyone know of other long-rise (as in the opposite of hipster) nappies/covers where the legs and waists can be adjusted independently please?
Ummm.... ok... side snapping fitteds.. what do I have... I think my very baby is one of them... umm.. cute tooshies (tushies?) - its in the wash so I can't check - ummm.... even though its not a snap - maybe check out mandy macs.. I LOVE THEM... you use a snappy with them - fully adjustable to bubs size - I use them on both my kids - and they are both long bodies, with shorter legs...
Motherease AIOs (you do need to add liners though so not really an AIO) are great, available in all sizes and fastenable top and bottom.
We also have Motherease one-size nappies, DS has used them from about 4-5m old and still fits them nicely; they have snap-on-able inserts for night use. I must confess, while they don't leak and are pretty good, I don't use them too much - they are the most hard work maybe? Three-stage nappy and no velcro! How lazy am I? I love flat nappies but not working two lots of poppers clearly.
Very Baby side snapping fitted nappies would be a good one for you to try and you can get them in medium long. theweewuns stock Ericas if you want to have a lookie. If you are the sewing type you can even make them yourself.
It could also be a good time to try out a few larges but don't get rid of your mediums just yet as they can lose a bit of chub once they get really mobile and fit him again.
