thread: Dec 8 money not listed.

    Dec 8 money not listed.

Is this money coming via Family Tax ??

I just checked my "future payment" on their website and on Dec 12 only have my standard FTB money and not the extra.

Was hoping to know exactly how much we'd get (wont get the whole $1000 per child) so I know our budget limit for a new car.

Kat, I checked it too and I assume it's not there because it's technically not a FTB payment kwim? I assume we would all still get our $1k p/child, but it's just not showing. Glad to hear I wasn't the only one who wanted to *see* their Cruddy Christmas Bonus LOL

it will come through as an FTB payment, but because it's a one off payment, it won't show up on the system until two working days before December 8 as it has to be manually updated, and won't be done until the stimulus payment is due to come out - hope that makes sense!

It is income tested, and as we don't get the maximum amount of FTB I am pretty sure we wont get the maximum amount of the extra bonus.

Thanks BG !! Grr at having to wait ROFL.

Kat, I don't get the max amount either, but so long as you get some FTBA then you will get the full amount.

if you receive ANY FBTA at all - even a dollar a fortnight, you will get the FULL $1000 per child

if you don't receive any FTBA fortnightly, you'll get nothing

the only people that will get "up to $1000" as is advertised on the voice system are those that have shared care (so if they have 50/50 care, they only get $500)

oh really if that is the case bigger bonus then rofl. least i can work out 3 x 1000 ... I think.

Actually I called them the other day regarding DD's Youth Allowance and the girl let me know I'll receive my portion for her on the 10th December. I'm assuming thats the date next paid AFTER 8th December, so I'd take a guess and say everyone MAY recieve it with their next payment on or after that date.

So go calculate when your FTB payment is due after 8th December and pencil that in on your calendar.

yeah it definitely goes in with your FTB payment anywhere from Dec 8 to Dec 19 - will just depend on when your payment is due to go in the bank...

nope - you don't miss out - if you qualify for ftba when you do your lump sum claim, you'll get your $1000 then

they won't discriminate against people for choosing an option that is actively available to them!
