Which insert do you recommend?

So far I have been a bit of a commited AIO girl, but the more I have looked at different nappy sites I am considering purchasing some pocket nappies as well. So far I think I like the Happy Heiny (pretty much for the fact that I really really want the one with the skull and cross bones design ). Which insert would you recommend I go with? I am fairly clueless when it comes to all this! At the stage, I am only looking at using it for day use, not overnight yet. The site recommended the Happy Heiny stuffers but is there something you can recommend?

** I just went onto the Nappy Bucket site, as the nappy i want is out of stock on the other site I was looking on, and it says the Happy Heiny comes with a microfibre insert. Is that enough or should I purchase another insert as well?

Hmmm. it depends on how much of a wetter your bub is... and how long you want it on them for.

I have different pockets - and TBH - I use the recommended inserts that go with the nappy - I don't really put other brands in other pockets - cos the fit may not be perfect and I don't like leaks!!! lol

That being said - most of mine that come with microfibre - are the ones that I use - like, bumg's, happy heiny, haute - all come with 2 microfibre inserts and I use both.

However, I use swaddlebees as well, and with DS I use the hemp booster that goes in it, and the microfibre - but with Miss M I just use the microfibre one. But still the one for that brand IYKWIM?

I also just use the inserts that come with the nappy. I've got microfibre, hemp and bamboo inserts. They all do the job. If I need more I like to add a Green Kids bamboo booster.

I have a few pockets that didn't come with inserts, and for those I use a bamboo prefold, folded to fit that nappy.

I don't stick to the recommended inserts as using microfibre with DS means I'd be changing nappies every hour, he is a pee machine. So I just mix and match and I've never had any trouble . I like the peapods bamboo insert as it's fairly absorbent but can be folded to fit whatever nappy I'm trying to put it into. If you want to stick with the HH inserts then I found their hemp inserts with a microfibre booster was a good absorbent option.

I'm hopeless, and have all my microfibre inserts together, and my bamboo ones together, and I just grab a pocket and whichever inserts I need, and stuff!!!

I wouldn't even know what was what brand unless its on the tag!!

Through the day I use a microfibre and a bamboo together, 2 bamboo for day sleep, and night nappy for night.....

But I probably do it all wrong, but hey, it works!!

Ps.. love my HH.....

Oh.. my fav bamboo inserts are the BBH ones.... I find the microfibre pretty much the same...
