Gro Bag or other brand

Hi Just wondering what others are using?

We have a basic sleeping bag that was given to us, bought from target i think.
MJ sleeps in this plus blankets and i am thinking that i should get a grobag or something similar that has an actual TOG rating. Especially with Summer coming up as the one that we are using will be too hot.

Anyone got any comments or suggestions?

we use a grobag thats for 20 to 24 degrees think 1.0 tog.

I put Jacob in a wondersuit or easy suit depending how warm a night it is, no extra blankets thought I tend to put on heater if room cools down.

I have the 3 different tog rated grobags and must say I love the ease of them. I did buy another one from best n less a few weeks back... just the light cotton one, thing is it's soooooo much smaller than the grobag! I also find that the zipper etc on the cheaper one not as good and the design isn't quite as good either. That's just my opinion though. I like that the grobag thermometer also tells you what to dress bub in and which grobag for what temp.

I use a 2.5 tog grobag but also have 1.0 and 0.5 tog from Living Textiles (cheaper then grobags but still good quality). Not too sure where they sell but you can order online and they often have last seasons designs on sale online for 1/2 price.

I have the grobag thermometer, we got that when she was a newborn... Its great to get an idea of the tempreture, sometimes i would have no idea how hot her room was/is... DH has a temp logger (he is a fridgy) and when she was newborn we were worried about the tempreture fluctuation, so he attached it to the cot for 7 days and we printed out the graph. It was interesting to see how much it changed in the 12 hrs overnight

Have a look at teh cozy-touch ones on ebay. They are half the price of grobags, but they have a TOG rating & they are good. We have a quilted one that we used for DS in winter (I think it is 2.5) - but they have summer ones too.

I love the Snugtime ones for winter with a 2.5 TOG but in summer I just used cheaper all cotton ones fromTarget and Big W. They are very lightweight and great for the warmer weather, and she stays covered but not too hot. I figure in winter I want her to be nice and warm and prefer the better quality bags but in summer a very lightweight breathable cotton is fine even if it doesn't have a TOG. Good luck!

I have both grobag and snugtime, and I like them both. When I went shopping I could only get one of each in 6-18m size so I got both.

My DS is 2 and still usus Grobags. I really like the Grobag brand. I have had a few others, but generally as long as you get the higher end brand ones, and not just the polarfleece Target ones, you should be right. The cotton target ones are fine for summer. My DS is notorious for losing his covers overnight. He is in a big bed now, andcan get in and out with the Grobag on, and walk arounnd in it!!

my DD doesn't have a grobag over summer. do you think they would make her sleep better? she had one in winter. she sleeps on top of her covers. not sure if she gets cold or hot??

I have a 0.5 TOG grobag for summer. I dont know about you, but I like sleeping with something over me, so I like to put DS in the grobag. On a very hot night, I will just put him in a singlet and nappy in it, but now, I am still putting him in a cotton bonds all in one in the bag.

we definately could not live without the grobag! our ds has one in every tog and also different designs (the only thing is they aren't cheap), but if you google, bambini pronto bonus codes you will find some great discounts to use when you shop at their website and also, they always have items on clearence on their site too.

We have the grobags here too. Charlie is 19months & still in his. I too love something on me, even when it's hot & the fan is going....so I figure he should have something on him. ATM using very light weight & he still has his fan on. I was lucky my mum bought our winter one, I did have a cheaper version & it was not at all as nice material wise. Not very soft, not as big & didn't have the cover over the zip...so I say go GROBAG!! if you google Bambini Pronto, they have the grobags & often some on sale too.

sirenz, they do have a $45 clearance on bambini website. but none my DD's size OMG i love bambini pronto.

I ordered a couple online from Dreambag in the UK, which I've been really happy with. They are cheaper than the grobag, and i like their designs more, There is an Aussie Dreambag site, but they're more expensive than the UK site (at least they were when I last checked), Delivery is pretty quick, a week or so, and delivery cost are cheap, like $5 by the time you do the conversion, and it gets proportionally cheaper if you order a few.

I've got the grobags in the different tog ratings too. Last winter DD#1 had her day sleeps in an all in one snug time suit (arms, legs etc). It was great because she wouldn't go under blankets. I've got a couple of snug time bags and a cheap bag from I think Target but I honestly wouldn't waste my money on them again. They are much, much shorter than the gro bags and my DDs are both quite long so I find they grow out of them length wise but they're too little for them width wise.
