Sorry I've only just got back from Sydney and I wasn't looking at my emails there so just found this ... It went well thanks! I really liked him. Unfortunately I am a really tough case given my age (42yrs) as well as my severe endo. He felt I didn't need any more surgery (which I completely agree with) - especially as I've had so much already. He didn't recommend going on lupron for a few months which I though he might. I think he just felt keep trying (if I want) with any previous protocol that has worked OK. I was hoping he might know of some miracle drug that helps endo women improve their egg quality and implantation rates but, alas, it doesn't seem to exist ... the good news (if it works!) is that he gave me a scan when I was in his rooms and we saw a 15mm follicle there and one other small one so I said could we pls try and collect it as I have to try every chance I can get (I have no tubes so can't even have a natural conception)? Luckily he was kind enough to say "yes" and unbelievable we did make it to egg collection and transfer! One disappointment was that we actually had 2 eggs but when the machine tried to suck up the egg on my right side, it malfunctioned and then they couldn't find it at all ! I was pretty upset at the time but then felt so grateful that at least they could collect the left side and it was the more mature one ... plus, it ended up fertilising (hurrah!) and has become a grade 1 embryo which they transferred in on Weds (day3) ... so although the odds are really against us, we are now praying for a Christmas Miracle !!! ... If this time (our 7th) doesn't work then we will probably try a few more times before considering donor egg ... I still hope to work with my own though and I have heard of one case of woman who went to donor egg and this shut down all her endo, then she had a huge surprise by conceiving naturally when she was breast feeding her baby ... she was my age so I think it isn't always just an "old eggs" problem - I think the endo does lots of awful weird stuff to our bodies that really doesn't help at all ... anyway, this was a very long answer to your question sorry! ... How are you doing?
