Well, after our Nintendo drama this morning, have just had another tricky one. DD is supposed to be singing with the Guides at the carols tonight. Problem is, it has been raining steadily (and torrentially) all day - and still is - BUT the AWM is determined to soldier on and hold those carols!! (I think someone got their butt kicked 2 years ago after cancelling the show and then 20 mins later the rain cleared LOL).
DD is desperate to be involved. She had to wait until she was 10, and now it's our last year here (and so last chance at the War Memorial which is important to us as a family on account of DH being deployed away while we lived here). BUT I just can't justify dragging DD2 (who is overtired and cranky too I might add) out into the rain for several hours (!)
So the solution is to divide and conquer. DH being the better-adjusted-to-physical-discomfort parent has so graciously offered to be the one to stay in the rain for several hours and watch DD sing her carols (gawd I love that man). While I get to stay at home in the dry but I'm really I'm raining inside - just soooo disappointed because I so wanted to share the experience with DD1.
WHAT IS WITH ALL THE HARD DECISIONS I HAD TO MAKE TODAY???!!
Ah, just got the phone call, they've sent the girls home! Yay for me (not missing out hehe) but soooo disappointing for DD!! I think the VIPs no-showed and that was that. LOL
