Some of you may have known that I had 2 x blastcysts transferred on Thursday.
This is my 5th TF and 3rd stim cycle TF, normally I am pretty much on my feet straight away after TF, maybe have some back pain but nothing sleep couldn't fix it. This time, seems take a bit longer to settle things down.
I had this light cramp / tight feeling in my lower tummy since EPU accompanied by some back pain. It was getting a bit better the day before TF. The actual procedure of TF comparing to my past ones are very much hassle free, that's why I am a bit concerned that why I still don't feel 100% 2-3 days afterwards. The back pain is gone but cramping still here...Would this affect the chance of embryos getting implantation?
The only difference that I can think of comparing to past cycle is I am using Pregnyl boost injection this time (Monday and Friday this week), could this be part of the side effect?
The cramps is not severe but its there, feeling a bit heavy and tender. Occasionally having some faint stitching pain around the area too. I am not feeling my usual self, so just want to get up and go and enjoy the weekend...:-(
Any advice? Anyone had this experience and still able to get pregnant for the cycle? I think I can do with some encouragement.
I can't help too much but just wanted to pop in and wish you luck. My guess would be the pregnyl. I never used that as a booster just as an injection to getting O happening, but I used prog pressaries after transfer and they used to make me cramp up quite a bit. Hang in there hun. I hope you start to feel better soon and your little embies are enjoying their new home and snuggling in nicely.
pregnyl will do funny things to your body - it's essentially a boost of both hcg and progesterone - so your body is working hard to prepare as if you ARE pg - so the cramping is normal early in pg from that perspective
you may find you are mildly overstimmed too - even though the gremlin is from an IUI cycle - even at 12 week scan one of my ovaries was very enlarged, which is from the stim we went through - it explains the fact that all my ouchies have been on that side!
I am sorry to hear this... I think BG is right though. It sounds pretty normal to me - but maybe give the clinic a buzz in the morning to ask for some advice???
Thinking of you SMS me in need. I am off to work will check on you later
