    Infants Friend

Has anyone had any experience with Infants Friend? My 2 week old DD is having a lot of troubles with wind & pooing and the chemist suggested Infants Friend. I used Infacol with DS until we had him diagnosed with reflux. Anyway, I'm just wondering if anyone has used Infants Friend on such a young baby and if they've had any luck with it?

    Thanks in advance.

We used infants friend i think from about 2 weeks with great results!!! Infacol is not till a bit older.

Good luck with it my ds loved it so much he saw syringe and got excited (would have been great if he took reflux meds that well when we started)

Thanks Feeb! Did your DS have troubles with wind? or was it something else?

Yeah he would be pulling knees up and getting distressed with it.

He did have reflux also but Infants friend was great for wind, a few times when he hadnt done a poo for a few days (fully BF) he wold be upset give him some infanys friend and we would get a dirty nappy.

I swear by Infants friend.. I have used it with all 4 of my kids.. never used anything else..

Even as they get older I use it instead of panadol for teething relief

I used it with dS too from about 3 weeks- and he loved the taste as well.... interesting that you used it for teething too, aussienic.. i didnt realise it was god for the pain releif.. i might try that as ds is now getting the first signs of sore gums and i have used panadol but he doesnt like the taste!

ive used it.. nothing to rave about. Made Mia more upset i reckon. The first time i gave it to her it took 3 hours to settle her down! I use Infacol for her wind about 2 times a weeks if that and i find it works great. Is ur bub FF or BF? if bubs FF, try changing the fomula or the bottles. HTH

Yep, we've used it since DS was around 3 weeks old and I think it's great, really helped his wind and he didn't mind the taste of it either!

I love it too - worked a treat with my LO. It's also one of the more 'natural' remedies against the other options (Infacol, Donalix, Bruin...)

I found IF to be great at first, but then it started to contribute to DS's problems so I went to Brauer's colic relief and never looked back.
