I would DEFINITELY recommend it. I get my babies checked over within a few days they are born, just as a preventative for problems.
Hi
I have posted here about bubs favouring one side - have tried everything and just resigned it would continue. He never flat out refused, and I tried to time it so the early morning feed is the less favoured side cos he is hungry then etc - and that works.
The last two days though on LHS (unpopular side!) he sucks, let-down and pulls off screaming - I have a turbo flow too - tried the whole pulling off, express etc etc - doesn't work for us - yet if he is on the RHS (favourite side) he just grips on for dear life and drinks away until it slows and then feeds normally.
When I saw screaming on the LHS, I mean absolutely heart wrenching big tears and screaming. I thought he might be coming down with something - but he still slept o/n from 8 - 4am without a peep.
I cannot think of a time he might have got out of alignment etc - and honestly have never had chiro myself so can't say whether I would trust one with my baby - but ladies - is it worth a try??
I would love to hear some similar stories and how and if it worked for you, in particular how do you find a "good" one or is it just a ring around etc.
I am really at a loss - my MCHN just said - oh well, some people feed on just one side! Yes, I know that, but I keep trying and hate that he gets so upset!!!
Tried EBM and he says he is not fooled by that plastic stuff when he can have the real thing![]()

Yep I would recommend it too. I took my dd to osteo and she was great. i have a friend who really recommends chiro for kids too. See if you can find one that specialises in babies.
Good luckxx
I would recommend seeing an osteo wholeheartedly. I took Xander to my osteo (would favour osteo over chiro personally) - and if you can find someone who is recommended by others...?
One comment my osteo made which stuck with me... she said that sometimes bubs can be a bit lopsided due to either birth OR how they were positioned in utero (or both) but problems don't always show up straight away... they can start to get more troublesome as they grow - i.e. if tighter on one side which shows up later, maybe that's what's happening for Zander?
My osteo found X was very tight down his right hand side from head to hip - after three treatments his snuffy snorty congestion had eased considerably and he was also turning to both sides equally (he'd been really tending to turn to the right when sleeping, not just when feeding).
My reason for favouring osteo over chiro - osteo's work more with both skeletal & muscular systems, whereas chiros are a bit more skeletally focussed (ok so that's a pretty simplistic description but YKWIM). I feel osteos are more wholistic & gentle which I prefer for a little bub. Good luck I hope you find a way to help Zander enjoy that LHS!
Definitely an osteo, find one who has done cranio sacral work too, babies respond really well to it. Clare in BellyBelly does cranio sacral work, seen great results.

Ok I will give it a try! Booked in to see a reputable baby osteo on 09/01/09 which I didn't think was too bad considering shut down and all that.
he is already nearly 3 months so another couple of weeks we should be ok>.
Thanks ladies
