Sour cream in place of natural yoghurt???

Ok so I'm terrible at menu planning and I have a bit of a craving for souvlakis (sp?). Anyway. I have lamb and I have salad stiff and I have turkish bread (instead of pita) but I have no natural yoghurt or any tzaziki. I do have sour cream tho. do you think that if a make a garlic and cucumber sauce with that instead of the yoghurt that it would be awful??? I don't want to go to the shops but I really want it!!!
    TIA

    Thanks
It was ok. Not the ideal flavour but it did the job!

I used to always replace natural yogurt in place of sour cream, so I'm sure it can be done, but yeah... not necessarily the right taste. The sour cream is more... creamy? Less bitter, so if next time you add a drop or two of lemon juice, that would do the trick!
