    Steamers

Can anyone suggest me a vegie steamer? or are they much of a muchness??

I've seen them for $55 up to $120, and wasn't sure the difference. I plan to use it a lot.

we were given on that cost around $30-40.
I find it takes much longer to steam the vegies than in the normal saucean style steamer.
Im not sure if the more expensive ones are better, but over 20 minutes to steam carrots (cut in sticks) was too much for me.

That sounds excessive ray? Im sure ours doesn't take that long!

I like the idea that you set the timer, and then it keeps warm until you are ready. So somtimes I chuck my veges in an hour before dinner and then they are ready when we need them

We use bamboo steamers - available from any asian deli or wholesaler - we love them and have used them every day. Very cheap and work like a dream.
