    What can I eat?

Am hearing so many conflicting stories of what I can & can't eat. Obviously the prawns/squid/smoked salmon etc are out, so are salad bars and rotisserie chickens etc. However, one girlfriend told me that I can't eat any cold meats (even if cooked fresh at home) and also to avoid anything that has to be reheated (ie left over spaghetti bolognese). Not sure if this is true, as my DH has been pre-cooking meals and freezing them for me.

Any help/advice/guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Cold meats from Delis as you said are a no no but cold meats cooked at home should be fine

I'm quite sure that with the home cooked meals that they will be fine hun. As long as they are heated up properly to kill any bacteria it will be ok.

    Hi Agwish
You can eat cold meats that have been cooked at home providing that they have been stored below 5 degrees and not more than 48 hours have passed between cooking and eating. (24 hours for chicken and pork).
Reheating leftovers is also OK again provided that they have not been out of the fridge for more than 2 hours. You also need to heat them until they are steaming hot. Again I would suggest that if the leftovers are more than 24 hours old then leave them alone. Frozen food is fine to eat but again make sure that you heat them all the way through and that they are steaming hot.
