    Baking Powder sachets??? *Urgent*

    Ad decided to pull out the donut maker Zavier got him for Chrissy and make desset... he has just run to his mums cause i'm out of eggs....

    But the instructions say to add a "sachet" of baking powder, I only have a box of it...

    How much is a sachet worth??????

    Purplemamma - Sorry I have no idea but I'd be inclined to go with less rather than more. A whole cake usually only has a teaspoon or so doesn't it? Could you google a few donut recipes on the net to get an idea of ingredient proportions?

    Ok try and post this for a second time!

    We have one too but our recipes are different. We have a KAMBROOK one. We brought one fro ou friends DD for Christmas and it was a different brand and had the sachet in the recipe so I told her to download the one we have from the internet

    Just a few recipes for you

    RECIPES
    PLAIN DOUGHNUTS
    11⁄2 (225g) cups plain flour
    1⁄2 cup caster sugar
    11⁄2 teaspoons baking powder
    1⁄2 teaspoon salt
    125g butter, softened
    1 x 60g egg
    3⁄4 cup milk
    1. In a large bowl, stir flour, sugar, baking
    powder and salt to combine. Add
    butter, egg, and milk, beat with electric
    mixer until the mixture is thick, smooth
    and creamy.
    2. Preheat Doughnut Factory for 4-5
    minutes. Spoon 1 tablespoon of the
    mixture evenly into each hole of the
    doughnut maker. Close lid. Cook for 2
    minutes or until doughnuts are golden
    brown and soft to touch.
    3. Carefully remove hot doughnuts from
    the doughnut maker and place onto a
    wire rack.
    Makes 24 doughnuts, cooking 6 doughnuts
    at a time.
    CINNAMON SUGAR COATED
    DOUGHNUTS
    1⁄2 cup caster sugar
    2 teaspoons cinnamon
    1⁄2 cup butter, melted, for brushing
    1 quantity of Plain Doughnut Batter
    1. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small
    bowl and set aside.
    2. Melt butter in a small saucepan or
    microwave oven and set aside.
    3. Cook Plain Doughnut recipe and after
    removing each batch of doughnuts,
    brush immediately with melted butter
    and roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture.
    LEMON AND SUGAR DUSTED
    DOUGHNUTS
    1 quantity of Plain Doughnut Batter
    1⁄2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
    1⁄2 cup caster sugar
    1. Cook Plain Doughnut recipe and after
    removing each batch of doughnuts,
    place onto a wire rack. Brush
    immediately with a little of the lemon
    juice and dust with caster sugar. Serve
    warm.
    GLAC? ICED DOUGHNUTS
    Vanilla Glac? Icing:
    1 cup icing sugar
    1 teaspoon butter, softened
    1⁄4 teaspoon vanilla essence
    1 tablespoon water, heated
    1 quantity of Plain Doughnut Batter
    Topping Suggestions:
    Finely chopped nuts
    Hundred and thousands
    Coloured Nonpariels
    Silver Cachous
    1. Prepare icing by sifting icing sugar into a
    small bowl, stir in butter, vanilla and
    sufficient water to mix to a spreadable
    consistency.
    1⁄4 cup maple syrup
    1⁄2 cup maple syrup, extra, for serving
    1. In a large bowl, stir flour, almond meal,
    sugar, baking powder and salt to
    combine. Add butter, egg, and milk, beat
    with electric mixer until the mixture is
    thick, smooth and creamy.
    2. Preheat the Doughnut Factory for 4-5
    minutes. Spoon 1 tablespoon of the
    mixture evenly into each hole of the
    doughnut maker. Close lid. Cook for 2
    minutes or until doughnuts are golden
    brown and soft to touch.
    3. Carefully remove hot doughnuts from
    the doughnut maker and place onto a
    wire rack. Drizzle with extra maple
    syrup, if desired. Serve immediately.
