Ok, so when one can FEEL ovulation, does that mean the egg is being realeased or could the pain associated with O be the ovary preparing, and the egg doesnt get released for a day or two???
does this question make sense?
I am just really curious.
I was in bed half the day on the 23rd of Dec, with O pain on the LH side. I gotten woken up at 7am by it and it didnt ease of enough for me to get out of bed until about midday and then it was just dull into the evening (i also had a small amount of EWCM on the 24th, noticed it on TPAPER, didnt notice it on the 23rd).
Then on the 25th i got the same pain, but not as strong but exactly the same on my RH side (which has been my primary ovary for Oing over the past few cycles). But it wasnt near as strong but was still painful and felt.
I have been basing my DPO on the 23rd, seeing as how vicious it was... but i am now really wondering and i am curious at the whole ovualtion process... i.e when i get the pain, what is it that is giving me the pain? at what stage etc etc etc
If anyone can help with this that would be AWESOME!!!!
TIA

The very best and accurate way of predicting Ovulation is using the combination of observing CP, CF, Basal Temp and O Pain (if present).
Personally I get very strong O pain, to the point where I can't DTD due to the pain.
It is possible that you ovulated on both sides this cycle, but another possibility could be bowel irritation. I found that sometimes I would get pain similar to O pain around the time of Ovulation, and was irritation of my bowel due to the action in and around my ovaries.
From my personal experience I get ovary pain some 5 days before Ovulation and then milder pain at Ovulation. So not all Ovary pain is related to the actual time of ovulation.
Are you charting and observing cm? I also found that my cm was clear for aroun 5days before O and on the day of O my cm went cloudy..sorry if that was tmi.
but one lady here says after charting using other methods, not just going by O pain, she realised she had her pain 3-4 days before she ACTUALLY ovulated!!!!! Which makes ALOT of sense... cause this cycle i had that pain on CD10.. which i thought was oooober early as normally it is around cd13-14. Som maybe, thats why... and IF thats the case, my DPO are not right, and could be why i am having BFN's... (ofcourse i very well could just not be UTD :P )
Hey MissyMooMoo, that's a really good question! And thanks for the link
I've been starting to wonder that myself this month...I'm CD21 with still no O, which is really wierd as I normally O around CD12-14. BUT I have been having O pain (crampy/achey type feelings) for the past few days...tho not today for some reason...
This gives me some hope that O might be just around the corner! Maybe its just a bit late from stress this month...
