Hi girls!
Ds just loves being with kids I dont want to put him into day care but want him to be able to play with some kids his own age and older! and try to wear him out lol!
Does anyone use playgroups at all? Do they have lots of stuff to do? What is a typical day like? Also is it restricted to where you live or can you travel?
Any other suggestions would be fab! Thanks girls xx
Do ask your mchn for groups around you. I tried a few (most dissolved after a few months cos everyone had to go back to work, bugger) and ended up with a fantastic one that we love!
Ask around your area or call your local council, they should have lists of whats available.
I don't think all are the same, some can be structured, some the mums drink coffee whilst the kids run around, some are big, some small etc etc etc.
I went to a local play group. It was very casual, turn up if you felt like it. Anyone welcome. Pretty much free play for the kids, then all sit together for morning tea, then more playing for kids.
As well as playgroup, we go to swimming, also used to go to a great music class.
Sometimes we go to a local play centre. I have a coffee and she plays with the toys and any other kids that are around.
What about a gymbaroo type arrangement? I have never been but a friends DD loves it.

Ange we do swimming with mateo and terri and also music in winter! But Myles is a mini tornado and i think he needs space haha! I will look up gymbaroo!
He did a pretty good job of pulling all the toys out at my place lol. Can't wait for the twins to be able to interact with him a bit better (other than Myles and Kenzie kissing all the time lol... it is just meant to be ) Lou used to love taking her kids to gymbaroo I didn't even think of that today when we were chatting. I guess that way there would be heaps of activities for him to wear the little monkey out.
