    Talking Toddler friendly Vic holiday....

DH owes me a break away when he gets back from Canada! Flying would be too hard and too much effort for me right now with Izzy so we are going somewhere driving distance so that leaves Vic!! I don't mind how far - we can break it up.
So far I'm thinking Bright, Port Fairy, or Lakes all of which we have been to before!

    Any suggestions?
Izzy loves water so beaches, rivers, lakes would be good.

I love Inverloch Tan! Nice beaches for kids etc. I love Lakes, but it's a bit of a drive with the kids, Inverloch is a nice distance.

I love Inverlock too ... won't you do a drive out through Sth Gippie way and stop at towns along the way ... we did just that after Xmas & stayed with my in-laws as they live out that way

What about Echuca ... or Swan Hill or both ??

I'm thinking of staying Swan Hill next for a mini holiday as it looks to be very family friendly if you know what i mean

DH grew up in Leongatha and spent most summers in Inverloch! As much as we do love it maybe somewhere different!

Echuca might be nice - I could pop over to Moama and see a certain BB member while I'm there!

LOL Tan, I guess Inverloch is out then! Echuca is lovely (as is Moama), I think it's great up there! And you're almost guaranteed warm weather

Oh Tan, we just got home from a few days in Warrnambool and Mason loved it!!!!

We stayed 2kms out of town in a caravan park (in a cabin) which had a heated indoor pool, games room, tennis courts, swings set, and even a baby play area (hard plastic play gym etc). This was right on the Hopkins RIver.

In town of Warrnambool there is a huge Lake (Lake Pertobe) which has heaps of playgounds and things to do. Then you have the beach which has a lovely sandy and shallow part for the kids!

Sez - The weather up there might win out over the southern parts!

Sounds lovely Danni! Will put it on my list!

Tan we just came home from Indented Head. My dad loved it so much he has bought a block of land is going to retire there!
Its near Port Arlington. I dont like it at port BUT about 10 mins away is Indented Head, just nearf St.Lenards and its amazing! The beach is like crystal! Its so clear! I find port a little crowded and the beach not nice at all! So check it out

I'm going to vote I'm going to vote for Warnambool too.
It has beaches, a fantastic park with playsets, ponds etc, there is a volcano nearby where you will be able to spot emu's kangeroos and maybe a koala, it's not too far from the amazing scenery of the great ocean road, there is a rainforest with a treetop walk that combined with the great ocean road makes a nice day trip, it's a big enough town to be able to get a decent coffee. Port Fairy close and it has boats to look at.
    It's a really familyfriendly destination.

I wouldn't go to St Leonards/Indented Head Tan.......... coz I'm not there anymore

I can check out accomm etc up here if you like. There are some gorgeous places to stay and there is one down the road from me that looks awesome! I think it's pretty new and has an awesome playground etc I think Izzy would love. There are quite a few things to do up here and an awesome playground which is also just up the road from me where we can lose the kids for a while

we have 2 hol houses, 1 in Bright and 1 in Inverloch. Like you said, Inverloch might be a bit boring if DH grew up around there.
Bright is always nice all year round, regardless of the weather.
Warnambool is not too bad a run from you. Straught on Sth Eastern and keep going. Past Geelong, and then head towards Colac. obut 1.5 from Colac.
