I have found the jump from 1child to 2 children challenging -as Im sure alot of mums have. With DS#2 coming up to his 1st birthday we are now talking about if we want another bundle of joy.
I would like to hear how some of you found the jump from 2children to 3 children. My mum says the dynamics change alot (but she doesnt know from personal experince). Also, what kind of age gap do you think works best for #3?
There is 2yrs, 2 weeks between DS#1 & DS#2
Sorry I can't help, I am making that jump as we speak. Just wanted to say that I have received such mixed info that Im sure it will depend totally on the inidividual (or each individual family). Alot of people have said going to three has been alot harder, where as the rest have said it's easy as you've already got two. Im tending to think so far that for me it's going to be harder. ....
Our gap for the first two is 7.5 years, and the next will be 3.25 years. I don't think there is ever a "right" gap, and I do believe what ever gap you have is right for you.
Good luck and I will look forward to hearing the responses....!! xoxo
Yep, it will depend on each individual - i guess you can just go by other peoples experience and see what suits you....
DD#1-DD#2 - 29 Months - perfect, great, love the age gap. They are now 5 and nearly 3 and are best of friends.
DD#2- DD#3 - 19 months. Harder, good coz both still have day sleeps at same time. But looking back at photos, my Dd#2 really was so little when i had DD#3....i worry if she missed out on anytihng.....
DD#3 - baby #4 - 20 months. Will let you know in about 20 weeks. I again worry coz i think DD#3 is still such a baby, she not walking yet, she is very much a mummys girl.
In all honesty, i loved the 29month age gap. But age is not on our side (me-33, DH-36) and i guess we wanted our babykingdom days over sooner rather than later...
Interesting. We "ideally wanted 30-36 mth age gap between #1 & #2, but fluked it and got preggy the 1st month we stopped being carefull. Our boys are a handfull already so thinking of waiting till #2 is at kindy before we even stop being carefull. Had a difficult prenancy with #2 and felt that #1 and I missed out on alot of precious time together when they cant understand/ or have things explained to them.
