Question Carpet Stain ... Help how to remove !!!!

Calling all Domestic ladies ... I have the biggest coffee stain i have ever seen in my life on my already stained carpet (yeh, from my DD's baby milk days) ... Now i know why i need my coffee table back in the loungeroom

Thankfully it didn't go onto my nice new big rug but the stain is sitting just nicely next to it on the crappy carpet for all to see (well, i'm probably the only that looks at it these days, LOL) !!

If i purchase a bottle/tin of Carpet Stain Remover from the supermarket which one does everyone recommend ???

    Also any other tips

So far it's been soaked up & has dried a little as it happen last night

Thanks for any replies ... Cheers from Lorelle (the coffee lover) xox

So for fresh stains use glycerine applied with a cotton ball, then use some detergent and sponge clean.

Older stains, glycerine then dry cleaning fluid.

Always use several clean cloths or cotton balls, so you are removing the stain, not sticking it back on again!

So that comes from the Spotless Bible.....thanks AGAIN Missbelinda!!!!!

You can get dry cleaning fluid (white spirits) from hardware shops, glyerine from supermarkets I spose..

I use Carpet Power (I think that's what it's called?) and it seems to work well for us.

    Good luck!

STAY AWAY FROM THOSE SUPERMARKET CLEANERS!!!!

I have found that whenever I have used them no matter which one I used it would always end up wrecking hte carpet. It would cause the carpet to lose its colour. The only thing that has ever worked for me is professional carpet cleaning.

With 3 children my carpets and rugs seem to have a lot of stains. Ive tried everything.....nothing seemed to work, it would fade the stain for a few days, but then it would simply re-appear. THat was until i was told about 'motsenbockers lift off ' - its costs a bit - $17 from BigW, but gosh it works. I even showed my DH today the coffee stain i got out of his new car and he was astounded.
