Chicken loves ginger and sesame in a stir fry... or IMO it does!! So try:
1 clove garlic crushed
1-2 tsp fresh grated ginger
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp oil - I use rice bran oil or grapeseed oil but that is my health conscious ways... whatever works for you!
*if there isn't enough flavour for you in that, you can add 1 tbsp soy sauce as well and I always add a bit of chilli to my stir fry's... I have a jar of crushed chilli in the fridge**
OK, the easiest home-made sauce I know is honey, soy and garlic with a little chicken stock. About 1/4 cup of soy with 1/2 cup of chicken stock and honey and garlic to taste (about 1 tbs of honey and 2 cloves of garlic is my choice!) You can mess around with it, add grated onion, herbs, ginger or a little cornflower to thicken and then it's great as a sauce for wings or drumsticks.
Christy's recipe sounds great too though!
Obviously I am the lazy one here But I seriously just throw in a good glob of Hoi Sin and a nice big splash of soy about 2 minutes before I take it off the heat. Simple (and lazy!) but very yummy....
normally i just grab a packet of premade sauce from the shops. but since money has gotten tight i need to start making my own from scratch instead of being lazy
We also use soy, honey and garlic. and we add some chilli to our stir frys as well. sorry, can't give you quantities, it's just a matter of what looks right. We just make it up as we go along, which is why it seems different every time we do it, but it's still yum!
