Endometrial Biopsy

I have been doing some research lately in to recurrent implantation failure and have seen endometrial biopsy pop up a few times.

I was wondering if anyone has had this done, for what purpose and did you find anything?

In particular, I have heard of a women who had a FET blastocyst transfered at 10 DPO instead of the 'usual' 5 DPO, which resulted in a BFP. This was her 7th ET, with all previous BFN. She had had an endometrial biopsy which had showed a delayed response in the receptivity of her endometrium, meaning that when embryos were being transferred, conditions may not be ideal for implantation. I think they call this the 'window of opporunitity'.

Also I believe that a biospy is better than BTs when checking for natural killer (NK) cells. Has anyone had negative blood tests and a positive biopsy?

Also I have seen some studies that showed that a biopsy, followed by a stim cycle and a fresh ET resulted in significantly higher BFP rates, they are suggesting that a biopsy the month previous does something to the endo which improves implantation the following month. Though I wonder if a biopsy would be similar to a D&C, ie cleaning out the uterus. Any thoughts on this?

I am of course searching for a reason for my unexplained infertility and will be discussing this with my FS when I see him in two weeks, but wanted to go armed with some information first.

with regards to anyone having a -BT for NK cells and +Biopsy for NK cells - i believe Mel had this happen and hope she finds this thread to assist you with any more info you may need.

I dont think the biopsy will be as aggressive as a D&C as you require to have a general for a D&C but i know of ladies having a biopsy without going under! I was going to have the NK biopsy and was told that i would be awake, but have been asleep for all 4 D&C's.

I would be interested to read about the lady who got a BFP after Tfing a blastie 10DPO!

My old FS said a collage of his was doing trials in endo biopsy just before TF to check if the lining was ready but i believe this is still in trials.
