Does everyone get CM when ovulating??

    Hi there,

My DH and I are TTC our second baby. We had a miscarriage in August 2008, and we have been trying since October 2008. I have been using Ovulation testers for the last 2 months and it seems like I ovulate on either days 13/14 or 14/15. I get cramps from about day 13-15, similar to period cramps.

Anyway, I am on day 14 of my cycle today and the last few days I have been checking for CM when I go to the loo I am a little wet down there but I can not see that much CM. Does this mean I am not ovulating? Can you ovulate and not get CM??

    Thanks for any replies x

    fanny snot babe

I think it depends on the person firstbub.

I dont remember having it when I was younger but after my last 2 babies ive noticed it quiet a bit. I dontthink its doesnt mean you havent O'ed but maybe you didn't notice it as much before hand as you do now. I think its something we self educate ourselves on after we know how our bodies work.

Good luck with TTC...cant wait to hear your pg notice

    LOL Maz!

If you are wet, even a little bit, it is a good sign O is possibly happening. Not everyone gets loads of external CM.
If you notice changes in the look of it then work with that. The best indicator is usually once O had passed and you go back to opaque and clumpy. Really take lots of notes and use them for the next cycle if this one is unsuccessful. After AF you may be dry or have a bit of opaque stuff. Take note of what you've got and see if you can notice the shift from dry to mucuos that isn't fertile to the wet you describe.
If you can get your hands on a copy of The Billings Method (try library before buying one) it will help you heaps.

My CM is never what it should be and I've never experienced the EWCM.

I get the slippery and the creamy and that is it and even that doesn't correspond with my temperatures.

It doesn't really worry me though, I've read that the temps alone can be good enough to ensure that you have ovulated.
