Illness and recovery

Mackenzie has been unwell most of the week - fever most nights but nureofen always brings it down. Anyway she's actually better now - no fever but she is still quite irritable (well actually a lot!!) and is having more sleeps than usual. I figured she was just catching up so is this quite normal? I sort of though today I would go back to her 2 sleeps and 4 feeds thing but already she has had 3 feeds and is asleep now. Guess I can wait a couple more days!

Yes, it can often take a while to get back into the old routine. I find it takes up to a week or two sometimes. Depending what the prob was. xoxo

iv got no advice but i hope she gets better soon...its not nice for bubbas to be ill.

FWIW, I saw the dr today about something similar. Peter was quite unwell on Sunday and Monday- fever, runny nose etc, generally miserable. On Tues and Wed he was better, sleeping a bit more than usual, but no fever and happier. Then Thurs and today he has a cough which is getting a bit worse- course, I freaked out and saw the dr this morning. He said this pattern of getting really unwell with fever, then fever breaking, then getting a bit better, then getting cough/ a bit unwell again is very normal. Who knew? And he mentioned that he would probably be a bit tired and fretful just because he still didn't feel well, but it would clear up over the next week.

I know every situation is different, but hope that gives you some reassurance! Hope your LO feels better soon- its sooooo hard when they're sick!!
