    Available Brands Of Cloth Nappies

    Hi,

I want to use cloth nappies for my baby, however, I am not sure of the brands available (Is there any better than another?) Where can I pucrchase cloth nappies and what about the ways to do the nappy up (I don't want to use pins, Is there another option?)

What should I put over the nappy before I put clothes on the baby?

you'll get a HUGE range of responses in here - my suggestiong, go look at the cloth nappy general chatter thread - they mention names (most are websites) to look at, who likes what, what works for bubba's of different builds...

there will never be a "this is the best" answer - every child is built different - and what works for child A won't work for child B - the suggestion i've taken on board is to build a stash of different nappies, try them out, work out what is best for you and your baby, and THEN buy more of those ones.

look out for sales (there is one at Booroi website at the moment - not sure what they have left though) - buy it, give it a go, and if you don't like it on your bub, there is fairly good resale value for most nappies on an ebay-ish type site (that i can't recall right now)

HTH - jump into the cloth thread and ask away - i have! and i've had some brilliant advice from the long term cloth users. if there is a brand with a bad rep, they'll generally warn you away from it!

as to what to put over nappies - that will depend on whether your nappy has a built in water proof layer (all in one, all in two) or is a nappy that requires a cover. if you need a cover, there are so many different types - scope out that thread - lots of info in there!
