Angry Oh what a day - please let it be over soon!

From Monday to Wednesday Mackenzie had a fever each night and morning and was quite irritable. Fever is gone and she seems to have come good, HOWEVER, she is sooooooooooooooo CRANKY today! I can't believe it! I'm tearing my hair out - barely anything works to distract her and when it does work it's only for a few minutes.

It's not lack of sleep seeing she woke at 8am, went down at 9.45am and slept for 45 mins. had a feed then went back down from 11am - 1.15pm then went back down again at 3.20 till 4pm. So you can see she's had plenty of sleep. She hasn't ben into solids either so I have been feeding her - though back to the riduculous demand feeding every 5 seconds for 5 seconds.

I know she's had lots of sleep so I've had a break there but it's almost worse cause she is so bad when awake!

    Aaaahahhhah any ideas?

Jordie, I have had days like this that have lasted a few days. Irritability and crankiness, nothing I do helps. I blamed it on DD's teething and more recently, her 12 month needles. That sent her really cranky, off her food, irritable, you name it. I was also tearing my hair out. Could it be teeth? My DD has nurofen in that case and ends up better after a dose of that. Hugs to you though, I really know how you are feeling xx

JordieC- DD who is similar age has been fairly similar on and off for 6 weeks. Cranky, off her food. It is very trying isn't it? Anyway she has been getting her molars, and i wonder if the same isn't happening at your place?

Have you tried the brauers teething relief? I also found DD liked mushy foods agina as it didn't hurt her gums to chew.

Hope you get your happy baby back soon.

Oh, and if the intermittent temp happens again, might be worth a trip to Dr. DD had a temp only at night for a week, took her to Dr and turned out to be a UTI. I know they can have mild temps with teething, but if it concerns you worth getting her checked.

I was going to suggest if crankiness keeps up a trip to the Dr. Only in saying my DD has been off all week and she only had one day of a temp. Luckily tho she can talk and every so often told me her ear was sore, turned out she had ear infection. If she couldn't speak I wouldn't have known.
