Just wondering how much weight everyone has put and by when? I have been the same weight since BFP! Lost a kg in first trimester, then excatly the same weight till 14 wks. Put on 0.5kg as at 14 wks, but 4 days later am the same pre-preg weight?? I am looking a little pregnant - ie. have a bit of a bump, boobs are def bigger. Should I be worrying? Also haven't felt bub move yet so am terrified something is wrong
5-15 kg by full term is average, so about 50% of women gain more or laess than that. Helpful huh?
2.2 kilos in the first trimester, and the rest after that.
Its more important that your bub is growing than how its affecting your weight. If you've been sick with m/s, or eating healthier its posible you have lost body weight and gained baby weight.
Thanks ray ray. I haven't had bad ms, but have started eating a lot healthier. Maybe that's it. Can't wait till ob appointment in a week to see that bub is ok.
I put on 9kg's with both of my pg's. With my first I didn't dtart to stack it on til about 16wks, then it came at about a kg a month til the 3rd tri when it was more like 1 kg a fortnight. I wouldn't be worried yet.
With my first bub I didn't feel it move til I was about 17wks pg, so I wouldn't really worry about not feeling bubs move yet either. Good luck and I wish you a happy and healthy pg!
Thanks lilias. I wouldn't worry , but people are commenting and it kinda makes me very conscious. But people are people, hey? I hope you are right. I have a very small frame so maybe that contributes to it.
I lost a few kgs with DD1 in the first tri. Put on 10 kgs through the whole pg.
Lost 10 kgs in first tri with DD2. from pre preg weight only put on 4 kgs, from lowest weight put on 14kgs.
Lost maybe 1 kg in first tri with DS. Put on around 10 kgs. I wasn't weighed by any Drs during that pg though. Just at home when I thought of it.
Don't worry, mate! People will say stuff regardless... You will have people telling you how MASSIVE your bump is one day, and the next you'll be told you are very compact and small for dates. What can you do?
Personally, I put on HEAPS of weight in the 1st tri because I am shocking on the fatty food and carbs when I have m/s. (Feels kind of like a hang-over.) I have already put on 10kg this pregnancy and I'm only half-way. But I can pretty much guarantee you that most of that is just body fat from being such a guts and not doing any excersise.
Belle, I put on like 3kg. My daughter was 2.9kg so really the weight was just her. I was alos retaining a bit of fluid by the end of my pregnancy. My midwife never weighed me at my appointments, I just weighed myself at home because I was curious about 4 days before she was born and I was 3 kg more than my pre-pregnancy weight. I have a small frame too and people were saying annoying things like "oh your so small", "she's small for XXX weeks pregnant" , "you must be having a tiny baby" and so on. My daughter is completely healthy, she's just petite. Dont worry yourself over it.
I didn't gain anything until I was about where you are now (14-16 weeks) and then it all piled on. I've since gained 14 kgs and I'm 34 weeks now so probably more to gain Oh it's going to be fun trying to lose it all afterwards
i have learn't not to take to heart what some people say. i too am a small frame and i think i only put on about 1-2 kg's by 19 weeks, even though i was showing a bit.
people used to say to me i must be having a tiny baby and i got really worried, however now i'm 30 wks and have put on nearly 7 kg's and have this big belly and people are saying to me i must be having a huge baby cause my belly's so big....but i must say i'm only belly, you can't tell i'm pregnant at all from behind, so i just smile and nod, but don't pay any attention.
i've only just now started to put on a few kg's i've noticed each time i visit the dr and i get weighed, so yes it's normal to not put much weight on.
i put on 19 kilos in whole pregnancy. WOW! lost about 11 when i was discharged from hospital and was back to pre-preg weight when DD was about 6 months old. still want to lose another 8 though!!
I have put on 7kg and I am almost 36weeks. I put no weight on until about 23 wks and then it steadilyt crept on and have not put any on the last 2 weeks.
Im 25 weeks and haven't put on any weight yet. I was 62 kg pre pg, lost 4 kgs with morning sickness (had it til 16 weeks) and since have put that 4kg back on. So same as my pre pg weight. I've had ppl say one day I look tiny and another I look huge, don't worry about what other ppl say it'll just stress you out.
Also I didn't feel my baby kick til 18 weeks and my SIL didn't feel hers til 21 weeks (she has a bit more padding than me tho) especially with ur first its fine not to feel it til like 22 weeks, any probs ask ur doc
I am only a small frame as well and with my second pregnancy I was still wearing my normal clothes at 19 weeks. By the end of the pregnancy I had put on 12kg. My DD was born at 37 weeks, healthy at 2.8kg. Don't worry about the fact you haven't felt the baby move yet. I was 16 weeks with my DS before I felt him move and 17 weeks with my DD.

I put on nothing to 17wks and now at 28wks I have lost 3kgs. But that is due to being diagnosed with gestational diabetes (so avoiding all junk and processed foods), and not having much of an appetite. Dr's aren't concerned. Bub is still growing well, measuring a week ahead and moving around lots.
Don't worry about other people's comments. Everyone is different. As long as you are feeling happy in yourself and your Dr is happy, try not to let the comments bother you.
I put on about 25kgs and was huge!!! I started showing early but I know a couple of people who didn't even tell their bosses at work until 5mths cause they weren't showing. I lost 15kgs by the time I got home from the hospital and I recken my boobs must weigh abit but am trying to lose the rest. Olive is 3mths.
I felt flutters at maybe 17wks but no 'real' kicks until 21wks.
I am 27 weeks today and so far have put on, at the most, 2kgs. And that is with the last 6 weeks being mostly bedrest. Bubs is growing fine and when I asked if I should be worrying about the weight not piling on, my ob just said to count myself lucky. He said as long as you start the pg at a healthy weight (ie not dramatically underweight) then the baby will take what it needs from you.
Also, depending on where your placenta is sitting will affect how long it takes to feel movement - mine is at the front so I felt her later than my SIL whose placenta is at the back.
