We just made sure our son knew not to do it in public and as he got older told him its ok, but not in front of other people, only his room etc.

DS1 used to touch his all the time. He's getting better now. Mostly touches it when he needs to go to the toilet these days. He likes to leave going to the toilet till the very last minute.

DS hates his nappy going back on! He sits thete with hold of his crutch staring at it like 'where did it go!?!'
As my friend says, hours of free entertainment!!
Just make sure he knows to keep it to himself. I'm not at that stage yet....doesn't sound like fun!

the onyl thing he is also doing it now when he sleeps which is loosening his nappy, making his bed wet etc most days. anyone else in this boat?

Can you put him in an all-in-one suit overnight so that he can't get his nappy off?

Oh yes, very normal male behaviour LOL. It seems to come and go a bit too - sometimes they are playing with constantly and other times they aren't so interested.

Oh yes. Now that DS is toilet trained his bits are freer, and he now announces quite loudly that he has a big penis! (when he gets his little stiffies). I just tell him not to tell people about his penis and not to show people. Yes, he pulls it out for all to see, no matter who is here. LOL.

It has to be a boy thing because my dad and bro do it too!!!

My 16mth DS has his hand on his as soon as the nappy comes off. My eldest though was never really one to bother with it after the initial fascination wore off thankfully LOL.

Don't make a big deal of it when he does it and make sure you wash his hands afterwards

My DS had never really noticed it until recently, mainly because of TT'ing. He's put his had on it and laugh, I just ignored it and he doesn't really do it often because he doesn't get a reaction. Although when I was changing his nappy ready for bed he touched it and I said dont do that, he said (in a whingy voice) "YEEES, me like it big!" I was shocked! and PMSL of course!
I agree with Ezz, to keep the bed dry put a body suit or all in one on him. Best of luck!
