Employer questions

So i have only worked for a short period of time since being in Aus. I am considering doing some sort of work to help with our bills but that would mean putting our two children into daycare(whole other issue).

So i am wanting suggestions of good employrs who are flexible for people with children. I am not necessarily considering f/t - prob p/t initially to see how we all cope.

I think it differs - all employers are different. Usually government positions are pretty flexible though.

My boss is really flexible - but my last boss was not at all - and its the same industry - so I think its who you are working for, not what you actually doing that often matters most.

How about family day care run from your house? Are you in a position to do that?

Depending on where you live, some of the city St George (bank) branches have child care centres within them for staff. I know a lot of the major banks are very family friendly and flexible.
