does morning sickness come and go..or sometimes subside early?

Hi everyone, I've already had a few answers on this from my lovely friends in the PALTTC thread, but also wanted to put it out there generally....
have any of you found that MS has come and gone, or even subsided before the end of the first trimester?
The past couple of days my queasiness has subsided...making me a bit worried. But maybe it's just settled down for now...I still have sore boobs etc.

Hey Possums - loss or lack of symptoms is not an indication of misacrriage, if that's what you mean. 'Everything' Is normal in pregnancy, because every woman and every body is different - you would be a lucky one if it has subsided now!!
Chin up, many prayers that things are fine.

I think morning sickness is different for everyone. I personally didnt get morning sickness until about 7weeks which lasted every morning until about 16weeks. Now at 36weeks, it has come back.

m/s can do anything. I have had m/s that has been for a very short time and then just disapeared. I have had m/s that comes and goes for the whole pg, and this time I have had very servere m/s which has now eased off and just remains as a mild nausea. If your m/s disappears try not to worry, it probably doesn't mean anything except that you are lucky enough to have it go.

With DS2 and this pregnancy, my worst sickness ended at week 9. But it is also very normal for it to come and go, maybe to give you a bit of a break! Apparently from week 10 onwards your placenta starts to kick in and your hormones start to settle down (therefore you feel less sick, etc.). I think my placenta must start kicking in earlier

My m/s with DD was between 6-9 weeks, by 10 weeks I was fine.

With DS I was sick as a dog from 6 - 14 weeks. There's a very wide variation, and for alot of women (like me) it can even vary hugely between different pregnancies.

    Don't worry

i think it's very normal for it to settle before the end of the 1st tri - that's what happened to me...and then just when i got used to it being gone (following my initial panic!), it would come back - but just for a day. usually on sundays - just for a few weeks. so strange!

so far i've found that it's normal to worry about just about everything (well, i hope it is!) - why are my boobs so sore, why aren't they so sore today, why don't i feel more sick, does my tummy feel different today...

I completely understand Possums! I'm the same - worrying about everything and only feeling happy, but miserable, when I feel sick and tired! LOL!

My sickness started about a week ago and it comes and goes throughout the day. I haven't thrown up as yet but I feel like I have a severe hangover when it kicks in. Right now I feel ok but that's cause I juts bought a ridiculous amount of food from the cafe at my work and have temporarily filled up on a cheese toastie and a ginger beer - yum. Before that I was close to hurling! Food seems to settles things for me but if I leave my run too late, nothing works! It really does swap and change from day to day though.

As for my BB's, they come and go too! Sometimes they're really sore, especially in the evenings when I take off my bra to go to bed. Othertimes they feel normal and I find myself squeezing them to make them hurt! Ah, the joys of pregnancy!!

    xx
