Newborns feet very squashed in mei tai.

I have used a babyhawk mei tai this week a few times, and its great! But when I take baby out of it his feet seem all red and like they have been very squished
I am putting him in the froggy posistion, am I doing something wrong or is that just what happens?

Sorry I cant realy help, as bub never went froggy. Didn't get my babyhawk till resently and she was happy legs out at by four months. Is the straps going across his legs, maybe lossen it a bit.

no, straps are not across legs, they go across the babies back which is what is recommended for the newborn posisition.
    hmmm, anyone else know?

As long as they are not going purple or blue or showing signs of circulation restriction or discomfort, this is pretty normal apparently. I've read a thread on this elsewhere recently (although not experienced it myself), and it seemed quite common. Do keep an eye out for any circulation restriction though.

And perhaps see if you can alter the positioning slightly so that more weight is centred on bub's bum rather than his feet.

yup, sometimes they look red and other times a bit purple, so i have just put him in it now and tried spreading his feet further apart so more weight goes on his butt.
I`ll see how it is when I take him out - hopefully its better. Dosent seem ideal, but sort of good to hear its standard.
