    LG or Dishlex Dishwasher?

Mods if this is in the wrong spot, please move it

Ok, I have FINALLY talked DH into getting a Dishwasher!! (So the SPD is good for SOMETHING ) I have been on the choice website and they are both okay. We need to keep it low budget or I would go for the F&P Dishdrawers in an instant.

So if you have either the LG or the Dishlex that are under $1000, What do you think of it? Which is better in your opinion? What DONT you like about it?

    Hi Alioops,
I know you posted this a few days ago so you have probably already made a decision but we had a Dishlex which lasted us 10 years. We replaced it last year because the motor went in it but apart from that we had no trouble with it. My sister and a friend also have the Dishlex and they are happy with them as well.
I don't know anything about the LG.
When our dishwasher died it was full of dirty dishes so DH and I had to hand wash everything in it which took ages. The next day DH came home with a new dishwasher and had it installed before dinner that night. LOL!!!

I just bought an LG, we got it for under $700 and sweettalked the salesperson to give us some outrageous discounts on a couple of smaller things to boot. I'm very happy with it, it's pretty quiet, the top tray is adjustable in height, and some of the racks on the bottom fold down which is handy if you're doing a lot of pots or large heavy bowls. We've been using the tablet-style dw powder, and so far have been quite happy with how clean things are. Only caveat, weetbix bowls MUST be rinsed out in the morning before going in DW, everything else is ok without rinsing (we start with an empty dishwasher each morning and run it last thing at night).

We have an LG and I LOVE it. It cleans really well and quietly and quickly. LOVE it. The only thing I don't totally love is that it has a filter which is icky to clean. Well, that's probably true of all dishwashers.....but its still gross. Ew.

We have an LG, have had it for just over 4 years now. Probably gets used every second day - works beautifully with the powerball tablets. Have never had a problem with it, still works just as good now as it did the day we got it.

We ended up getting the dishlex because of the way the button lock works, the girls havent figured it out yet and the power button is not as easy to press as the other buttons, so they tend to leave it switched off when they touch it. I got the floor stock one for $675 and it had only been on the floor for a couple of days. It seems to be doing a good job, only the really dirty things that need to be scrubbed have needed hand washing.

I do need to get a hose clamp for the drain hose, but for now a bucket catches the leaks.
