Hey,
So DD1 woke up this morning and decided she wanted to use the loo, which she sat on (her own child tiolet seat) without crying!! She didn't do anything the first time, but I let her go nappyless for the morning, quite a few times she came up to me and said "poos pees" which we'd go sit on the toilet and i would tell her what a good clever girl she is! out of the 6times shes sat on the toilet she only wee'd once (But omg my clever little girl did a wee in the toilet!!! wahoo)
And she has a few accident's on the floor which i would just clean up, no hassel. Everytime she did an accident she would come up to me and tell me wee's and would like to go sit on the toilet which i would tell that she is such a good girl!!!
Sooo, am i doing the right thing? is there any other tricks to the trade you would like to share what helped what didn't??? things like that
Thats fantastic!!! How exciting.
Sounds to me like you are doing all the right things. Praise, encouragement and acknowlegement are the keys IMO. TT is one of the only things we use sticker rewards for at the ccc where I work but if your DD is happy to go I wouldn't bother, just keep doing what works. I also think going nappyless and cleaning up a few accidents is better then using pull-ups as IMO these just look and feel like a nappy. Well done to you and your clever girl!
With my DDs I had them sit on the toilet for a while to see if they'd go, I used to paint their nails while they were there LOL
Sounds like you are doing a great job though, my DS is only just starting to be ready now.
